Dog Boarding Like No Other
Kennel in Missouri

A Bit of Country K9 Kennel was opened in May of 2000. Cathie and Ken Lovell, the owners and operators, wanted to open a kennel where canine guests would be treated as members of the family - where they aren’t just “taken care of” but really loved.

Personal Attention for Our Guest

A Bit of Country K9 Kennel is not a large kennel because Cathie and Ken take care of guests personally. There are no hired employees. With the kennel the size that it is, Cathie and Ken are able to bond with each guest and get to know their individual needs and personalities.

A Bit of Country K9 Kennel has a calm atmosphere with TV's, even a big screen TV, so the Lovells can play doggy movies and doggy shows for their guests. The goal is to make sure that every guest feels as loved and comfortable as they do at home. It's also important to the Lovells that the families of their guests can go on their vacation without worrying about their fur babies while they're gone.

Quality Care and Reputation

A Bit of Country K9 Kennel has established a reputation for giving the highest quality care. We want you to "Expect the Best" for your faithful family member. Cathie and Ken, and their “four legged kids,” live next to the kennel to ensure the safety of their guests and provide 24-hour attention.

All guest must be current on vaccinations, including Bordetella, and using flea/tick prevention. A vaccination record from their vet is required.
